While the format was, shall we say “different” due to the epidemic, this year’s FIRST Robotics Orlando Regional VIP Virtual Event was no less spectacular. It inspired, fascinated and engaged and the feedback has been extremely positive.
Now, we invite you to sit back and enjoy this special replay of the event that was originally streamed May 20, 2021 so that you too can experience the ingenuity expressed by the participants and, as a special bonus, listen in on a lively, one-of-a-kind Q&A with retired NASA Astronaut Nicole Stott. You won’t want to miss hearing what it’s like to live and work on the International Space Station.
Another highlight is a presentation by the amazing FIRST World Championship 2019 Chairman’s Award winning team – Orlando’s Exploding Bacon team 1902. Their imagination and enthusiasm are on full display in this short presentation and it’s contagious. They and all the other FIRST participants are the cornerstone of FIRST’s efforts to promote STEM education in high schools that will lead to the development of a highly qualified high tech workforce.
